You must bring your passport or identity card, a credit card to pay the security deposit and your driving license. To rent a scooter with Ortigia Rent Siracusa you must have a valid driving license according to Italian regulations.

Yes. You have to pay a security deposit for the scooter. The deposit can only be paid by credit card. No charge will be made if no event occurs that requires it.

The deposit is € 150 for Standard model scooters, € 300 for Plus model scooters, € 750 for Premium model scooters and € 1500 for Collection model scooters. 

Yes. You can also drive all our scooters with one passenger. If you are two, you will need a second helmet, which requires an additional cost

No. It is forbidden to drive without wearing a helmet. Both the driver and the passenger must wear their own helmet, even if it is a 50cc.

You are fully covered by insurance in the event of damage caused by a third party. For damages caused to the scooter, or theft of the scooter, the insurance reduces the amount to be paid to a deductible, in case of compliance with the contractual rental agreements. We offer the possibility to purchase a deductible reduction for the insurance of your scooter.

Yes. However, please consider the disadvantages: the renter is not allowed to drive outside the city or on the highway with a 50cc scooter. With a 125cc or higher displacement, you are allowed to drive out of town within a limited area. Each individual shop has a specific coverage area for scooter insurance or roadside assistance - you are therefore not authorized to drive outside of this area.

Yes. You can purchase extra insurance which reduces the scooter's deductible in the event of damage and / or theft during online booking

Yes. During the compilation of your online booking, you can select among the "extras" various types of deliveries and / or collections at hotels or airports.

• Yes, it is possible to modify the reservation at least 24 hours in advance by sending an e-mail to info@ortigiarentsiracusa.it.
• Changes with less than 24 hours notice are not allowed

Below is our policy regarding the cancellation of reservations:

• If the renter cancels the reservation within 24 hours before the scooter pick-up date, full refund of the amount paid will be possible (100%)
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice from the scooter pick-up date are not accepted.
• If the renter cancels the reservation without notice, the refund will in no way be possible.
  
  

The person responsible for the rental must report any changes to the contract in advance. You must do this directly by phone at the store where the rental was made. As indicated in the terms and conditions of the rental agreement, Ortigia Rent Siracusa will charge a penalty of € 50 plus the cost of the extra time in case of return of the motorcycle late without notice.

It is illegal to drive a rented motorcycle once the contract has expired.

In case you wish to extend the contract, you need to inform the shop to enter into a new contract, which can be picked up in the shop or sent via email.

Unfortunately not. Once you start your rental, the amount that has been paid cannot be refunded. We do not make refunds if the renter delivers the scooter (and / or extra) before the date and time mentioned in the contract.

Yes, you must bring the scooter back with the same level of petrol as when you rented it. If not, we will charge you for the cost of gasoline when you return the scooter.

To provide our service in all possible locations we have 3 types of rental points:

• Ortigia Rent Siracusa Shop  - is our shop, recognizable by the Ortigia Rent Siracusa logo, in which we provide our service and a wide variety of scooter models and extras for your comfort.
• Delivery point  - it's a meeting point, not a shop. An Ortigia Rent Siracusa employee will deliver and collect your scooter here on the exact day and time indicated in your booking.
• Partner shop  - is a shop of another brand in which we can equally offer you our scooters and the best possible service, in destinations where we do not yet have Ortigia Rent Siracusa stores.
   

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• If you wish to cancel the reservation, you can do it independently from your own reserved area within our portal 24 hours in advance
• If the cancellation is made with a notice 24 hours before the booking date, 100% of the paid amount of the reservation to be canceled will be refunded
• Cancellations are not allowed for a notice of less than 24 hours. If the booking is canceled without notice, Ortigia Rent Siracusa will not make any refund.
