FRA General rental conditions
To rent a scooter with Ortigia Rent Siracusa you only have to be legally authorized to drive .
Below are the minimum requirements required by our rental points referring to the laws in force in Italy.
The categories mentioned correspond to the official European driving license categories.

In addition to this, you will have to leave a security deposit of € 150 for 50cc scooters and e-bikes, € 300 for 125cc and 150cc scooters, € 500 for 300cc and 350cc scooters, € 300 for cars (Fiat Panda and Fiat Tipo) and € 500 for vans and minibuses. The deposit can be left with a credit card, and will be returned at the end of the rental. The actual refund of the deposit may take a few days depending on the bank or country of the customer.
All our scooters are equipped with a helmet, insurance from a deductible from € 500 to € 1800 ( depending on the type of scooter ) and roadside assistance. There is also the possibility of adding a second helmet, reduction of the excess or delivery service for your scooter at the hotel. Check out the extras that each store has available.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations with more than 48 hours notice: 100% refund of the amount paid.
- Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are not allowed.
- Cancellation without notice: no refund.
- Ortigia Rent Siracusa is not responsible for weather conditions.
