Vendicari and Marzamemi — Itinerario in scooter

The most popular day out, and the one that needs the most planning: the Vendicari nature reserve is a protected strip of coast between Noto Marina and Marzamemi, with five different entrances on the SP19 Noto-Pachino road. You pick which one to use according to what you want to see — Calamosche for the cove, Torre Vendicari for the tonnara and the marshes with the flamingos. You finish in Marzamemi, where the square is a few steps from the harbour.

• Entry is paid and covers all the access points: 3,50 € full, 1,50 € reduced, 7 € family, free under 8.
• Payment is ONLY electronic at the entrances: without a card or a phone you do not get in.
• From April to October the reserve is open 7:00-20:00, and the entrances close an hour earlier.
• From every entrance you walk to the beaches: Calamosche is about 20 minutes on a dirt track, with no shade. Closed shoes and water.
• There are no bars and no petrol stations inside the reserve: buy what you need first.
